SafeCut – Mower Shearpin System

New for 2010 from Krone is the patented SafeCut system to protect the cutterbar of all EasyCut mowers, excluding Cri roller conditioner machines. The system incorporates a shear pin, a special nut attached to the blade disc assembly and a pinion shaft that is threaded to suit the special nut. Whilst working, if a disc strikes an object it will remain stationary momentarily and therefore shear the pin. By remaining stationery, the nut now acts on the threaded shaft and winds its way up the shaft enabling the disc to clear itself from the neighboring discs which are still rotating. A circlip at the top of the pinion shaft prevents the disc from flying off and causing any further damage. To resume mowing, the disc attached to the special nut is wound down using the special nut spanner supplied, old shear pin removed and replaced. This system reduces down time, costs and offers greater peace of mind when operating in adverse conditions.

EasyCut 32CV Float – Front Mower

The new 3.2m front mounted mower conditioner from Krone incorporates an advanced floatation system. Without sacrificing the proven attributes of the current model, the Float system increases lateral float characteristics plus reduces the set up procedure when changing from one tractor to another making the mower more versatile within a fleet. The new Float system ensures constant ground pressure even in undulating terrain. The design allows for a simple compact yet robust build keeping the mower closer to the tractor – reducing overall weight but also reducing overhang.

Big M 400 – Self Propelled Mower

Krone introduces a new dimension to mowing with the Big M 400. The cutting width of the mower will remain the same as the Big MII with 9.7m cutting width for flail conditioner or 9.1m for the Cri roller conditioner machine. The rollers are now available in steel and chevron rubber. The Big M400 is equipped with a Mercedes 12.8 lit engine producing 401hp and emission levels lower than required for Tier III Euro 3A standard. The Big M 400 still retains all the innovative features of the Big M II but with the increased power, utilizes more powerful wheel motors to deal with steeper terrain. A work rate in excess of 15ha/hr a 700lit fuel tank and cutterbars protected with the Krone SafeCut system ensure unrivalled output.

Swadro 1000 - Rake

In the raking department Krone introduces the new Swadro 1000 twin rotor rake. The Swadro 1000 bridges the gap between the 2 and 4 rotor rakes with a working width from 8.8m to 10m. Each rotor assembly is fitted with 8 castor wheels, 15 tine arms and 4 double tines per arm to ensure a clean sweep and high output. The maintenance free DuraMax cam track carries a 3 year warranty and reduces maintenance time.
Silage Wagon

A completely new line up of silage wagon includes three models, with the new AX280 GD (28m³ to DIN standard = 48m³ hay volume) the ideal machine for dairy farms as it is equipped with a standard cross conveyor to feed out fresh material to the animals. The new MX350 GL/GD wagon (35m³ to DIN = 56m³ hay volume) and the ZX450 GL/GD (43m³ to DIN =66m³ hay volume) are the perfect machines for larger operations and contracting businesses. These machines impress with their high loading and unloading rates for chopped grass and maize silage. All new wagons are equipped with the cam less low maintenance pick up and also offer a knife cassette that can be swung conveniently to the left of the machine. The chain and slat floor of these wagons is angled down towards the rotor for a shortened travel of the crop inside the wagon, which reduces horsepower requirements and results in a better first stack.

Comprima Round Balers

The first Comprima balers from Krone have been around in Australia for 3 years now with the variable chamber V150XC taking baling to a new level. The patented SemiVariable Comprima F155XC and the new CV150XC combination baler/wrapper have their debut in Australia for 2010.

The proven slat system from Krone ensures nonstop baling unmatched by belt balers. A camless pickup, drop floor, a new net system and the new NovoGrip belt produce far greater productivity and density.

SemiVariable Baler patent

The F155 SemiVariable award winning concept incorporates the benefits of a fixed chamber baler – less moving/wearing parts leading to reduced purchase price and maintenance costs. The baler is also smaller and lighter than their variable chamber counterparts.

The unique feature of the F series is that the baler is able to make bales of varying sizes from 1.25m to 1.5m in 5cm increments, never before possible with a fixed chamber baler. The other unique feature is that the tests this past season showed that the bales produced in the same paddock with a popular rival machine showed little sign of the large soft core often criticized with fixed chamber bales. The bales were also fed out and the result from end users is a magnificent bale that feeds out easily and evenly. This is due to the very clever design of the chamber and the grass in feed system.
